Bladesafe (also known as Bladesmart) is a simple and easy-to-use sharps transfer container meant for use in operating theatres.
Range
The Cleanaway Daniels Bladesmart/Bladesafe sharps transfers tray eliminates sharps injuries in operating theatres and other healthcare facilities through a patented and innovative design. It can accommodate a wide range of scalpel handles and blades, as well as drain trocars, suture needles and K-wires. Made from heavy-duty plastic, Bladesmart trays are impervious to sharps but are light to handle. The Bladesafe's wide base provides greater stability than trays or bowls on uneven surfaces. It is easy to hold, even with a gloved and slippery hand.

The Bladesafe/Bladesmart sharps and scalpel blade transfer tray can accommodate:
- Scalpel handle sizes: 3, 4, 7, 9
- Blade range: 10, 11, 12, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23
- Laparoscopic port trocars
- K-wires and Steinmen pins (up to 185mm in length)
- Scalpel handles and blades
- Drain trocars
- Suture needles and their thread (with the device in the inverted position)
All Bladesmart/Bladesafe trays are individually packaged in an easy-peel aseptic packaging and gamma-sterilised for single use only.
